I am Marco Vigato. I am an author, researcher and explorer. I grew up in Italy and have traveled the world to document the most spectacular ruins and archaeological sites from our ancient past.
This channel is about my quest for the origins of civilization. Was there once a global civilization of prehistoric antiquity? Is there a connection between the ancient cultures of the Old and the New World?
Follow me to discover some of the most mysterious and enigmatic archaeological sites around the world. Together, we will visit places that few have seen, and unveil the truth about civilization’s most remote origins.

Ellora: Abode of the Gods | Wonders of Ancient India, Ep. 4 (Part 3)
Beyond the great Kailash Temple, lie 14 more Hindu rock-cut temples, ranging from gigantic pillared halls to intimate meditation spaces. These temples attract far less visitors than the other more famous caves at Ellora, yet they possess exceptional artistic quality and decoration.
Built between the 6th and the 10th century CE, these rock-cut temples contain refined carvings inspired by the great Hindu epic poems of the Mahabharata and the Ramayana.
Thousands of tons of basalt were removed for the construction of these temples, whose vast halls were hollowed out from the living rock of the mountain.

Transporting a megalith in modern Mexico

A new megalithic stone slab recently discovered near the village of San Francisco los Nopales, Mexico, is one of over a dozen documented so far in the same region. The technique and style of the carvings has no parallel in any known artistic styles from Mesoamerica but bears surprising analogies with Tiwanaku and South American stonework and architecture. In 2023, the ARX Project, in partnershi...

Incredible video!
Thank you! 🙏
It's incredible most advanced human skill & Hindu civilization monument. Why not included in 7 wonders of the world?
These ancient temples should truly be included among the wonders of the world! 🙏
You deserve more views !! ❤
Thank you! 🙏
AWESOME !!!! But I already new that. Nobody knows who made this, they say somebody but it is pure speculations. This monument is imposible to do with normal understandings, nobody can explain, you even can't try.
Thank you! 🙏
You can always count on Muslims to want to preserve other philosophies and religions and important shrines they hold them up to preservation….maybe we could put them in charge of all the world heritage sites they keep them in such great condition
Such a fabulous and rich achievement!! India truly is blessed with amazing cultural history. Uniquely beautiful. With admiration from Ireland 🇮🇪 friends 👍👏❤️
These temples are extraordinary. It is a pity they are not as well known as other famous monuments around the world.
Don't sell the ancestors short :) The divine might contribute the motivation. The people have to cut the rock. Time and motivation moves mountains.
There are still many mysteries in the way the rock was carved and removed, even without invoking alien or supernatural intervention. The lack of tools and heaps of discarded materials is perplexing.
I find this series extremely interesting and look forward to one day visit the sites you so beautifully image!
Definitely with divine help. However, we probably never unlocked the "secret" of this marvel
A study of the quarry and chisel marks can reveal a lot of the methods and excavation techniques employed.
I think it's impossible with our current consciousness to understand how these monoliths were constructed :) Thank you for your upload :)
Thank you for watching! 🙏
Beautiful and very well presented, subscribed❤
Thank you! 🙏
Namo Buddhay
I went there 20 years ago. I still remember it like yesterday. So beautiful and awe inspiring!
Thank you! 🙏
Good that you still can remember
The entire complex was built by Buddhists. With the changing nature of Buddhism and time, Hindus Brahmin sect started calling it Hindu. The word Hindu was given by the Mughals which is not more than five hundred years old. While these Buddhist caves are thousands of years
Thank you for your comment! 🙏
Never seen a dumber comment before. Prob a ragebait. Hindu term originated in persia not mughals. Greeks called this place india, hence the book by megasthenes indica. Persians turned that into hind. And stop acting like buddhism is some seperate religion. Its just another sect of dharmic religions. Cry all you want you'll never escape the truth
When you remove more material than the structure, everything should be questioned?
Where did all the material go? 6 million tons of basalt cannot just have vanished into thin air…
Thanks for sharing.
Thank you!
New to your channel today from Orange County, New York. I really enjoyed this video of these magnificent underground cities of Karla and Bhaja in India. Very well done, I’m a new subscriber!
Thank you! 🙏 I have many more videos coming on ancient India and megalithic sites around the world. Stay tuned!
I’m glad those bastards left in 1948 but they left a shit storm
Great video! Keep up the good work!
Thank you! 🙏
I’m loving this series! Have you been to the Khajuraho temples yet?
Thank you! I am planning on visiting Khajuraho later this year! 😊
Indian Rock-cut Cave temple architecture is absolutely beautiful. A lot of these temples were defaced and destroyed during the Islamic and Colonial era. Did you know many sculptures in the Elephanta caves were destroyed during the shooting practices by the Portuguese!
It’s a tragedy that so much of this beautiful art has been looted or destroyed
@@UnchartedRuinsyup it’s heartbreaking, The Mughal emperor Aurangzeb even tried to destroy the Kailash temple but failed.
Thank you for showing us these breathtaking sculptures!
You are welcome! Glad you enjoyed the video 😊
सबी मूर्तियां बुद्दीष्ट है।
correct 👍🏻
How come all the depictions of Buddha show him to have knots in his hair like to depict an African? All art of antiquity show the African in this way so as to be able to make that clear. Because only the African and her people have this unique hair. All other races have straightened hair in comparison. In fact no other being on the planet has the AFRO hair. Monkeys. Dogs. Any animal you can name have straightened hair..non have AFRO.
The Buddha was a historical figure who lived in the 7th Century BCE, an Indian prince by the name of Siddharta Gautama. There is no evidence and indeed it is the first time I even hear the possibility being mentioned of the Buddha being of African descent. In any case, I doubt curly hair are an exclusive prerogative of people of African descent. This style of representation may also have symbolic reasons. Early portraits of the Buddha from the Gandhara region were heavily influenced by Greek Hellenistic art.
Amazing videos!❤
Thank you so much! I have a lot more coming! 😃

Really cool! Except for that poser Blavatsky at the end... I really liked how you showed it on the map, that makes it easier to dream of visiting.
Thank you! Independent of anyone’s opinion on Blavatsky and her Theosophical Society, I think she is an important part of the lore surrounding these caves.
Must have been frightening in its day. Probably a great place for ghost hunters and psychic mediums
Amazing production quality!
